Dealing with Difficult Chart Combinations |
 |
It is not enough to tell clients that they can overcome difficult combinations by free will. We need to provide strategies and concrete behavioral suggestions as to what to do. Drawing upon hints in the writings of Dane Rudhyar and others, a refreshingly simple and innovative system for providing an understanding of practical ways to overcome difficult chart combinations is presented. For example, some very simple examples of configurations that may occur in a natal chart and the problems that can result are:
* A stellium in Virgo and being overly critical of others
* A stellium in Leo and always needing to be the center of attention
* A Venus-Jupiter-Neptune T-square; being overweight, overspending & in debt |
More complex examples are:
* The actual planetary patterns, which are often very subtle and sophisticated, in your charts!
The charts of the attendees are used to demonstrate the methods. We will not have time for everyone's chart, but we will see these principles applied live in the afternoon segment of this seminar. In this seminar we will focus on new insights and information so that you will leave this seminar with new tools to improve your work in astrology. Very often there are surprisingly simple and powerful techniques and "tricks" to help us transform our lives, and these techniques that are largely overlooked in the astrological literature. A new perspective on how to interpret the chart opens the door to these new insights. Attendees must be very familiar with the basic language of astrology to attend this seminar. |
David Cochrane began his professional career in astrology in 1972. In the 1970's he consulted thousands of clients, taught classes, and was a speaker at conferences. David studied Vedic astrology with Dr. Chandrashekhar Thakkur and was strongly influenced by his association and friendship with Charles Jayne and Neil Michelsen, as well as his studies of cosmobiology and harmonics. During this time he corresponded with Dane Rudhyar, Marc Edmund Jones, Pamela Crane, and other astrologers on innovative ideas regarding degree meanings and other astrological techniques.
David has served as a board member and President of ISAR. In the year 2002 he founded The Avalon School of Astrology, which provides a rigorous and comprehensive astrological education. David's interests and expertise in astrology cover a wide spectrum, from research studies he has conducted that have produced results that are statistically significant to his writings on the mystical relationships between Buddhism, Taoism, Hinduism, Christianity, and astrology, and his deep involvement in mysticism and meditation.. |
David Cochrrane will present the following lectures during the conference.
Lecture #1: Friday 25 Jan 9:30–10:45am:
AstroLocality Magic. Synopsis:Blending a basic technique from Vedic astrology with modern astro*cartography results in a powerful new technique for picking the best place to live. A small pilot study of this theory confirms its accuracy. We will look at the charts of a few attendees and see how this technique works with actual charts. The revival of ancient methods combined with modern methods can produce results better than either technique can by itself.
Lecture #2: Sunday 27 Jan 2:00 – 3:15pm:
Synopsis:Practical Tools for Western Astrology Derived From Hindu Mythology and Mysticism. Synopsis: Amazingly, the Hindu mythological stories of Krishna and Radharani reveal a numerological and astrological system that contains sophisticated and important concepts that can enhance western astrology. Sample charts show how these astrological techniques provide practical and useful information about the inner world, inclinations, motivations, and interests of your clients.
