2018 FAA Astrology Conference Banquet
The Melbourne Experience: Dining and Dancing with the Stars

The Arts Centre
Sorry Sydney, but Melbourne has topped The Economist’s list of the world’s most liveable cities for the past six years. Why? The reasons are endless; but two of these might be our wonderful trams and magnificent Arts Centre, near Southbank, both of which will feature in our gala Saturday evening banquet.
We will board our tram to take us to the Arts Centre for a night to remember. We will enter the spacious foyer area, featuring iconic Australian artwork, where we can enjoy canapés on arrival, then through to the Pavilion Room, the Arts Centre’s premier function and event space, for our gala dinner. The Pavilion Room has numerous features: a magnificent domed-ceiling finished in gold leaf and floor to ceiling glass leading to a private balcony with spectacular views of the city skyline, Alexandra and Queen Victoria Gardens and Federation Square.
The unique circular shape of the room will lend itself to our intimate gala dinner, conversation and celebration, and then dancing with a favourite singer.
Traditionally on the Saturday evening of our conferences, the convenors try to highlight some of their city’s best features, as well as provide a venue for our delegates to enjoy each other’s company, renew friendships and make new ones. Saturday, January 20, 2018 will be one of these times. Tonight it will not matter if Algol is on the MC, or if there are too many asteroids retrograde, or even if a peregrine planet is besieged: our group in concert at the Art’s Centre will be blessed with a memorable time.
The cost of the evening will be $165; however if you are registered for the full conference the FAA is subsidizing its members and the fee will be $140 for the evening. Since places for the gala will be limited we do recommend early booking.
